The appts. includes a frame provided with upper- and lower-horizontal arms. On the upper arm is a jack employed to move a holder horizontally; and in the holder is a second jack used to move one resistance welding electrode vertically. The lower arm ends in a swivel mounting for a third jack employed to move a second resistance welding electrode vertically; and a fourth jack is used to swivel the third jack so the angle of the second electrode can be varied. In a pref. alternative design, both the second and third jacks are located on swivel mountings so the angles of both electrodes can be adjusted to desired positions. Assemblies with a wide variety of profiles, shapes and sizes can be made by the welding together of sheet metal pressings, etc.
