The frame columns (2) have an internal longitudinal opening (5) that takes steel rod connectors (4), while the horizontal beams (3) have end projections which carry at least two metal stirrups (7) which fit round the connectors. Where more than one beam is to be connected at the same level to a column, the ends of the beams have a complimentary section to ensure a continuity of one beam to the other. The beams have starter bars (6) so that the frame joint is given rigidity when it is assembled and in situ concrete is cast around it.
