The vehicle heater housing passes fresh or heated air from an inlet opening (2) to an upper outlet opening (3) divided into two to serve a central nozzle and side nozzles and a lower outlet (4) to the vehicle foot space. The air flows to the foot space is controllable by a winged flap in the outlet tube (4). The airflow to the upper outlet is controlled by a double hinged flap (11,12) so that air can be directed to both nozzles, to the side nozzles or central nozzle alone or be cut off completely. This provides an improved control of the air flow through the heater, to the required part of the vehicle.
