In the method for measuring distances based on the ultrasonic echo principle, the ultrasonic signals, generated by an ultrasonic frequency generator, are transmitted by a transducer-transmitter-receive, are received by said transducer after reflection by the object of which the distance is to be measured, and are provided to an electronic processing circuit for the display, the measure and the adjustment. The reflected ultrasonic signal is provided to the electronic processing circuit only during adjustable time windows, the start of a time window being each time derived from the one being at the end of the direct transmission signal appearing in the reception channel. |
