<p>A pulse variator comprises, located coaxially, an input shaft (1) and an output shaft (2). The input shaft (1) is kinematically connected to a mechanism (3) for conversion of the rotary motion of the input shaft (1) into the oscillating motion of an intermediate member. The output shaft (2) is connected to a mechanism for conversion of the oscillating motion of the intermediate member into the rotary motion of the output shaft (2), that mechanism comprising diversely actuating overrunning clutches (12, 13, 16 and 19) connected kinematically to the intermediate member. The mechanism (3) for conversion of the rotary motion into the oscillating one comprises a bow-shaped guiding rod (5) fixed on the input shaft (1), the centre of curvature of that rod being situated on the geometrical axis of the input and output shafts (1) and (2) and representing in itself a monocentre of the variator. The said guiding rod (5) carries a slider (6) movable along the guiding rod (5). The slider (6) is hingedly connected to an end of a lever (7) the geometrical axis which goes through the monocentre of the variator. Another end of the lever (7) is fixed on the intermediate member which serves as a towing and steering arm (4) and is mounted with the possibility of a jigging motion around the monocentre of the variotor. The towing and steering arm (4) serves as an element of the mechanism for conversion of the jigging motion into the rotary one and is executed as a monocentric converter (8) the centre of which coincides with the monocentre of the variator. </p> |
