The drive rollers are arranged in pairs, with one roller taking the film down into the processing bath and the other roller taking it up again on the other side of the U-shaped path. The film is pressed onto the rollers by a large diameter pressure roller (10) loosely set over the two drive rollers, with the spacing of the drive rollers less than the diameter of the pressure roller. No drive belts are used and the drive does not suffer from clogging or belt perishing. The bottom of the U-shaped path has a fixed axis pressure roller (20) with a ring of fixed axis drive rollers (21) to take the film back up again.
