The arrangement which records information about goods, e.g. price and wt., comprises a price calculating balance with a printer producing receipts. It contains a microprocessor with a read-only program memory, volatile and non-volatile memories, and several peripherals such as a weighing cell and data input. The operation of the balance is not endangered by current interruptions. The microprocessor (30) receives a rectified and smoothed operating voltage (Ua) processed by a voltage regulator (27). A comparator (23) receives the regulator (27) input signal and a reference voltage (Ur) lying below the operating voltage variations. If the operating voltage faces below the reference voltage because of a supply interruption the comparator triggers a special program which transfers all measurement data from the volatile storage (37) and peripherals (31) to non-volatile memory (34,34') before switching off the microprocessor.
|
