<p>The mechanism is intended for producing a contoured surfaceon a workpiece particularly in stone, by grinding, polishing, sawing, milling etc. It comprises at least one driven tool spindle unit which is movable along and possibly rotatable on a horizontal arm. The arm is horizontally movable in and possible rotatable in a carrier which is vertically movable on a vertical column. The column is in turn vertically movable and rotatable about its axis on a base. The movement of the spindle unit may be guided along a template shaped to produce the desired contour.</p> |
