The invention relates to a needle valve for needle valve nozzles in injection moulding machines for sealing the nozzle channel. The aim of the invention is, by centring the needle valve, to achieve a reliable closing of the nozzle channel and to avoid early wear of the functional surfaces of closure part and nozzle channel. The object is achieved in that the needle valve comprises a needle body, a closure element which can be centred on said needle body and bears loosely against it, and a holding cage which is connected to the needle body and guides the closure element with a tolerance. <IMAGE>
