A shuffle feeder (10) of the type having interleaved flight members (29, 30, 37, 38, 46, 47) which are driven in alternative reciprocating motion to progress articles (16) resting thereon in a forward direction and in alignment and single-file order along pathways formed by divider strips (57, 58) which serve also to support the flight members. The feeder (10) includes a first shuffle feeder section (11) specifically adapted to align the articles in bulk form followed by a second shuffle feed section (12) specifically adapted to bulk singulate into lanes the already aligned articles. From the second section (12) a discharge section (14) receives the lanes of bulk aligned articles and advances the articles in single file order to a discharge chute (66). |
