<p>A counting method which comprises the steps of weighing a number of articles by distributing them among n weighing machines, dividing the weights measured by the respective machines by unit weights to calculate the number of articles in the respective machines, calculating combinations of the numbers of articles to complete the number of combinations corresponding to the respective combinations, obtaining one combination equal to or nearest to the set number in the number of combinations, discharging the article groups corresponding to that combination from the corresponding machines, calculating the new unit weight from the weight of any one or plurality of weighing machines and the number of the articles in the one or plurality of weighing machines, and using the new unit weight for the next calculation of the number of articles in the next step. Since the unit weight for calculating the number of the articles from the weight of the articles can be obtained from the weight of a number of articles actually measured, the counting accuracy can be increased. Even if the weight of the unit article gradually varies while repeating the counting of the combinations, extremely accurate counting can be done automatically. Further, the unit weight is automatically changed for the article itself by counting the combinations, and accordingly when a relatively small amount of articles are initially counted and then the number of the articles gradually increases, the initial set of the unit weight can be conducted extremely accurately even if a large number of articles are counted. </p> |
