<p>The skylight has a window hinging on a horizontal axis in the frame, and which can be locked in position so as to leave a ventilation gap between its lower edge and that of the frame, while the upper edge of the latter has a sealing lip between it and the top of the window. In the uppermost edge (7) of the window is a groove (19) in the surface towards the sealing lip (17). When the window is opened for ventilation, the lip is accommodated in the groove without touching it. The cross-section of the groove can be U-shaped, its free width being several times > the thickness of the lip. The design allows free flow of air past the lip when open for ventilation.</p> |
