PURPOSE:To smooth the rotation of commutator pieces eliminating accidental short circuiting between the commutator pieces by preventing the generation of abrasive powder by means of a non-conductive layers provided along slit parts separating the commutator pieces at the end of each commutator piece. CONSTITUTION:Non-conductive layers 10-12 are provided along slits separating commutator pieces 7-9 at the end thereof composing a commutator. The nonconductive layers 10-12 are made of a ceramics, a metal oxide, and a resin and formed by embedding into the commutator, sticking thereon or treating the surfaces thereof. This can prevent accidental short-circuiting regardless of possible generation of abrasive powder. |
