Improvements relating to the production of CO2 vapour from liquid CO2

A method of vaporising liquid CO2 (e.g. in a brewery) in which the liquid CO2 from a tank (1) is passed through a heat exchanger (4) in heat exchange relationship with water or a secondary refrigerant flowing in a circuit (6), and using the thus-cooled water or secondary refrigerant to provide useful cooling.
