PURPOSE:To quickly and accurately execute the prediction, by measuring inner wall temp. in every time interval at the prescribed positions and executing generalized evaluation by plural means, giving evaluated point during the prescribed time, etc., when summary value of positive parts in the temp. differences exceeds the threshold value. CONSTITUTION:The temp. differences at the inner wall in a blast furnace are measured in every the prescribed time interval. One means or more among three means, such as the first means giving the evaluated points during the prescribed time when the summary value of the positive parts in the temp. differences exceeds the threshold value, the second means based on the negative parts as the same manner as the above and the third means giving the evaluated points during the prescribed time, when the sum total of running average values during the prescribed time in the above positive parts exceeds the threshold value, are provided. Further, the fourth means based on solution loss carbon quantity, and the fifth means based on nitrogen content in the top furnace gas, are provided. And, according to the generated evaluation by at least one means along the first-the third means and at least one means among the fourth and the fifth means, the lowering of the furnace heat is predicted.
