<p>The invention relates to a carrier for fastening a grinding wheel (3) on the spindle nose of a grinding machine, having a neck (6) on the carrier body (1) on which there acts an elastic ring (10) with a multiplicity of claws (12) for coupling with the base wheel (5) of the grinding wheel (3), and having an axially displaceable pot (14) which engages around the ring (10). In order to achieve a comparatively easy construction and mounting, while suppressing the influx of grinding dust at the same time, the invention provides that the pot (14) is mounted on the carrier body (1) such that it can be displaced on a bushing (16) under the effect of a helical pressure spring (23), under the pressure of which said pot engages, in the operation position of the apparatus, around an elastic ring (10) which is held in a round groove (9) in the carrier body (1) and has claws (12) on the circumference which come out of engagement with a round groove (7) in the neck piece (6) of the base wheel (5) of the grinding wheel (3) when the spring (23) is compressed by the pot (14). <IMAGE></p> |
