PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a pellet at the time of delivery, by a method wherein the angle forming a tape carrier rewind section with the plane surface of a stage is made smaller than the angle to the delivery section. CONSTITUTION:A tape rewinding angle theta1 is formed smaller than a delivery angle theta2. In such a tape guide 4', the guidance of a tape up to a junction position is easily made and the movement of the tape 2 is maintained nearly plane shape. Accordingly, the deformation and breakage of a formed lead can be prevented. Positioning of the tape 2 and a semiconductor element 3 at the junction section can exactly execute as the tape and the element form nearly parallel. The range of the optimum angle theta1 can be calculated from the length a of a unit in the longitudinal direction of the tape 2, the length b and thickness t of the element 3. With the angle theta2 properly selected from the element thickness t and the tape feed pitch d, breakage by the contact of the junctioned element and the element on the stage at the time of delivery can also be prevented. |
