PURPOSE:To prevent a spiral core from overlapping tightly, by a method wherein a spiral core is made by cutting a long strip to a prescribed length and curvature of the cut sheet varies from the tip to the end. CONSTITUTION:Means to process a long strip 4 such as a drawing and detaching means 6, a pulling means 8 and a cutting means 14 are provided. The pulling means 8 has a fixed rotating roller 1 and a movable rotating roller 2 and an endless belt 3 which rotates in one direction is stretched over the rollers 1 and 2 and a tension is given to the belt 3 by a tensile wheel 7. A front drum 9 and a back drum 10 over which is pulling belt 11 is stretched are provided close to them and a tensile wheel 12 gives a tension to the belt 11. A sheet 4 is put on the belt 11 and transferred in the direction of the movable rotating roller 2 by a pulling drum 13. A core manufacture pin 5 is provided close to the roller 2 which moves up and down by the means 6 and the sheet 4 contacts the pin 5 so that the curvature of the sheet 4 increases gradually. A sprocket 15 which has rotating knives 16 is provided at the upstream of the sheet 4 to cut the sheet to a prescribed length. |
