PURPOSE:To obtain reliable braking action by permitting a service brake to be held operative when a sensor switch is turned on through a rigidity lever in response to the reaching of a predetermined value by an operating force applied to a parking brake in a truck or the like. CONSTITUTION:When operating both parking brake and service brake, for instance when parking, first the service brake is rendered operative by depressing a brake pedal, and then a hand lever body 11 is pulled up. When a predetermined force is reached by the operating force applied to the body 11, a setter spring 31 of an operating force sensor switch 19 provided on a pin 13 flexes to cause rotation of a rigidity lever, which has its stem secured to a bar end pin 15, about the same pin 15. As a result, a punch pin 29 is pushed down to turn on a switch 32 so as to open an electromagnetic valve in the service brake system pipeline. The service brake is thus held operative even after the brake pedal is released. |
