Asymmetrically substituted triorganotin compounds of the general formula <IMAGE> wherein R1 is hydrocarbyl or -R2COOR3 where R2 is alkylene and R3 is hydrocarbyl; X is halogen, hydroxyl, R4COO- where R4 is hydrocarbyl, -OR4, -SR4, -SR5COOR4 where R5 is alkylene, <IMAGE> carbamate or dithiocarbamate; Y is chlorine or bromine; Z is halogen, alkyl, trihalomethyl, alkoxy, thioalkoxy, phenyl or methylsulfonyl; a is 0 or 1 and A is oxygen or sulfur are useful fungicides and exhibit little or no phytotoxicity.
