The invention relates to a method of inserting a damp-proof course into an existing wall of a building which comprises the insertion of an elongate sealable bag or envelope and filling same with a quick-setting waterproof material. The invention further relates to sealable bags or envelopes suitable for use in the establishment of a damp-proof course.
