PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanism and to ensure the motion, by installing a printing board positioned on the optical axis in such a way that the board can move leftward and rightward, and by making an arrangement so that the rolled printing paper may be introduced into its running path by the movement of the printing board. CONSTITUTION:When intermittent drive rollers 11 and 12 are locked while a rolled printing paper 5 is kept between them, an automatic paper feeder advances the rolled printing paper by moving a printing board block rightward for the sum of distances of discontinued sections l1 and l2 and, at the same time, advances a starting end 5a of the rolled paper 5 toward a winding-up side guide 14 by substantially connecting the printing paper running path formed in the printing board block to the printing paper running path formed in the winding-up guide 14 and a cover 15. In this way, complicated mechanisms, such as a member which bridges the discontinued section, a driving device for the bridging member, etc., can be eliminated, and, therefore, the mechanism is simplified and the motion is ensured. |
