PURPOSE:To automatically measure the clean level of a heat exchanger by determining the heat exchanger duty of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A cooling water fed to a heat exchanger 1 from a cooling water pump 2 passes through a thin tube 3 while a water to be cooled is introduced into a tube 4 for water to be cooled is transferred with a pump 5. On the other hand, the detection output is inputted to an arithmetic device 12 from a detector 6 for the temperature of the cooling water at the inlet, a detector 7 for the flow velocity thereof in the fine tube, a detector 8 for the temperature thereof at the outlet, a detrctor 9 for the temperature of the water to be cooled at the outlet, a detector for the temperature thereof and a detector 11 for the flow rate thereof and a clean level computed is indicated on an indicator 13. This decides on the period for washing based on the indication thereof while enabling the starting of automatic cleaner when the clean level lowers below a specified value. |
