Title compd.(I; X = n-propyl, iso-propyl, n-butyl, isobutyl; Y 2,6-dimethylphenyl, 2,5-dimethylphenyl, 5-bromo-2-methylphenyl or 5-chloro-2-methylphenyl), useful as heart vein treating agents, were prepd. by the reaction of NH2X(IV) and V(W = halogen). Thus, 17 g 5-bromo-2-methylphenylisocyanate was dissolved in 150 ml chloroform, followed by addition of 20 ml triethylamine soln. contg. 18.2 g 3-chloropropylamine hydrochloride, and refluxed for 1.5 hr to give N-(3-chloropropyl)-N'-(5-bromo-2-methylphenyl)urea.
