PURPOSE:To achieve highly accurate recording, by forming a recessed or projected part on the surface of a transparent substrate, implanting a transparent upper skin layer having different refractive index from that of the transparent substate on the substrate so that the unevenness can be smoothed, and providing an optical recording layer having light reflection on said layer. CONSTITUTION:Recesses and projections 7 on a transparent substrate 1 made of polyvinyl chloride, methacryllic resin are formed by transcribing by using a mold having a cutting pattern by a diamond stylus or reverse pattern in advance. The surface of the layer 6 is made smooth by implanting the unevenness of the substrate 1 through the transparent upper skin layer 6 made of transparent resin with different refractive index on the substrate 1. The optical reflecting layer 2 can be formed by using Te, In, Pb, Sn on the layer 6. The height H of an unevenness section 8 corresponding to the layer 6 of the unevenness of the substrate 1 can be expressed by Equation. Thus, holes 5 with uniform shape can be made to the metallic layer 2 by irradiating laser light from the lower surface of the substrate 1. Thus, the information can be recorded with good accuracy. |
