发明名称 STRUCTURE OF ELECTRODE OF DETECTOR FOR THICKNESS OF ICE PREPARED
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable detection and control of the thickness of ice prepared, by using an an electrode rod an electroconductive material having thermal conductivity which is slightly larger than the thermal conductivity of ice and by fitting the same on a freezing surface with a tilt and rotatably. CONSTITUTION:An electrode retainer 4 is provided on the freezing surface of a freezing pipe 1 arranged under the surface of water and a plurality of electrode rods 3, 3a and 3b are screwed therein rotatably and connected to lead wires 8, 8a and 8b respectively. Used as the electrode rods 3-3b are rods formed of electroconductive material having thermal conductivity slightly larger than the thermal conductivity of ice, such as carbon rods, while the shaft parts 6 thereof are formed of stainless steel, brass or the like and fixed at a desired inclination. When a refrigerant having a temperature of 0 deg.C or less is passed through the freezing pipe 1, firt the water contacting with the freezing pipe 1 begins to freeze, and since the thermal conductivity of the electrode rods 3-3b is nearly equal to that of ice, the velocity of freezing in the vicinity of the electrode rods becomes uniform. And, electric current stops flowing from the electrode rod which sinks in ice. By this constitution, the thickness of an ice layer can be measured and adjusted based on the inclination of the electrode rods, which is also available for the automatic control of the thickness of ice.
