PURPOSE:To make it possible that defects of a recording medium are almost ignored, by recording a number, which characterizes each frame of the TV picture, onto the recording medium directly without frequency modulation. CONSTITUTION:The video signal transmitted from a TV camera 10 is modulated by a frequency modulating circuit 11, and a pulse obtained by encoding the frame number is inserted to a part of the part corresponding to the vertical blanking section by a frame number inserting circuit 12, and this signal is recorded on a recording medium 16. The signal recorded on the medium 16 is reproduced and is demodulated by a frequency demodulating circuit 20 and is sent to a monitor TV 17 as a TV picture and is displayed. Simultaneously, the demodulated TV signal is sent to a synchronizing signal separating circuit and has the synchronizing signal separated and is converted to a control signal by a control signal generating circuit 18 to control a memory 21 and a frame number extracting circuit 22. The reproduced signal is sent to the frame number extracting circuit also and has the frame number stored in the memory 21, and the frame number is sent to a frame number display circuit 23 and is displayed. |
