The heat exchanger heats the air for the passenger compartment of a car using the heat from the exhaust pipe of an I.C. engine. The heat exchanger has a heater body (Ce, and the air to be heated flows around it. The body consists of two connected elements (3a, b), fastened to each other along a plane (P), and forming an internal channel (4) for the hot exhaust gas. Each element is partly surrounded by a sleeve (5a, b) to form two separate chambers (6a, b), in which air to be heated circulates. The longitudinal walls (17, 18a, b) of each element carry an edge strip (19, 20a, b) extending in sinusoidal form from the connection plane (P) to the other edge. This allows the fastening of individual parts of the heat exchangers in different planes.
|
