PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption, by placing a magnet so that a magnet in a developing member does not attract at all a developer in a vessel through the lower opening part of a developer supply vessel, or its attracting force is extremely weakened. CONSTITUTION:A developer 9 in a vessel 6 is supplied smoothly to a developing sleeve 4 through its lower opening port 7. That is to say, since no magnet is provided on an area B of the developing sleeve 4 opposed to the lower opening part 7 of the vessel 6, the developer 9 in the vessel drops in order to the developing sleeve 4 by means of no magnetic action but its own weight, and the developer which has dropped in this way is attracted by a magnet 14a positioned in the outside of the area B, and passes through under a doctor blade 10. Therefore, the developer is fed out to the devloping sleeve 4 from the vessel 6 smoothly, by which driving force of the developing member is decreased and the power consumption is reduced. |
