<p>PURPOSE:To convert an inputted character to a character information automatically without a recognition error, by sampling a geometrical feature of a character of an inputted original entered by handwriting, etc., and correcting the character information which is read from the inputted original in accordance with said sampling result. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric converter 1 resolves an inputted original into picture elements, and converts it to an electric signal. its output is provided to a memory 2 and is stored. A feature sampling device 3 containing a microcomputer and an ROM reads out a character information stored in the memory 2 at every 1 character, and samples its feature. Subsequently, a sampled geometrical feature data is sent to a normalized device 4, the corresponding character information is read out from the memory 2, and its position, direction of the form of a character, size, etc. are corrected. The character information corrected by this normalizing device 4 is given to a memory 5, is stored and is read out by a recorder 6.</p> |
