PURPOSE:To reduce variations in the plasticity of a mixture due to the differences in plasticity of rubber materials by fixing the mixing period of time from the time at which the ram motion in a rubber mixing operation reaches at the maximum value to the completion of mixing. CONSTITUTION:The rubber materials and carbon black are charged into a mixer and mixing is started. The change of the ram motion with time is outputted from a ram motion sensor 14, the otutput is passed through a filter 15 to remove signals in an unnecessary frequency range, then the thus treated output is fed out as a signal B of a voltage waveform and is fed into a peak detecting part 17. The detecting part 17 outputs a signal at the time T2 of detecting the maximum value P of the ram motion B after a predetermined period of time set by a timer 16 has passed from the time T1 of charging the rubber materials. The signal from the detecting part 17 actuates a mixing time counter 18 and an instruction for finishing the mixing is fed out from the counter 18 at the time when the counted value reaches a value preset on a setting part 19 in accordance with the kinds of the rubber mixture. |
