An angular locking of a printing disc (not shown) is effected by paws (8,9) blocking a toothed wheel (6) angularly secured to the disc. The two pawls (8, 9) are spaced apart from each other by an angle corresponding to a whole number of teeth of the wheel (6) corrected by a half tooth so as to each ensure the locking of the disc (5) in the half of the stop positions. The number of stop positions of the disc, which corresponds to the number of type characters carried, equals the product of the number of teeth on the wheel (6) and the number of pawls (8,9). <IMAGE> |
