<p>PURPOSE:To improve adhesion of bacteria and waste water-purifying efficiency, by forming a ''KOKASEKI'' (grayish white porous lava of soda-flow serpentine) layer on the surface of a catalytic filter. CONSTITUTION:A KOKASEKI layer 5 is formed by pressing KOKASEKI particles 5a onto the surface of a plastic sheet 4 when the plastic sheet 4 is formed. In this case, the KOKASEKI particles 5a may be bonded without necessity of any adhesive, if they are pressed onto the plastic sheet 4 under a soft condition in a plastic sheet- forming step. The KOKASEKI particles 5a may be bonded onto the cured plastic sheet with an adhesive, instead. Plate-shaped catalytic filters 3 may be cut into a quadrilateral or circular shape, laminated with insertion of spacers 6 and formed into a block-shaped catalytic filter 7. Besides, a catalytic filter may be prepared by forming a KOKASEKI layer on the surface of a known honeycomb tube or laminate catalytic filter body.</p> |
