<p>The hot- and cold-water mixing valve has two parallel ceramic valve discs forming a seal against each other, the one on the inlet side forming a stationary seat, while the other is slid from outside via a linkage to regulate the flow and turned to regulate the temperature, masking cold- and hot-water inlet holes in the seat disc. A cowl deflects the water passing through it. In each angular position giving a particular temperature setting, the control disc (8) can be slid in a straight line in order to open or shut the outlet hole (73) in the seat disc (7).</p> |
