The agricultural cutter is carried or driven by a tractor and has a gear drive to pivot in carrying or operational positions. It is locked in position by pins entering stop apertures to give different connections between the tractor and cutter. The gear drive has three pinions with one selectively meshed with the other two. The shaft of one gear forms the input and another the output. Each of the qears has a different number of teeth. The gears are changed by a sliding arm to give a choice of input and output for the gears.
