The steering wheel rotates a shaft in a steering column fixed to a support plate. A crank arm perpendicularly to the shaft has a pivot at its end which is fixed to a lever arm. This lever arm is at least twice the length of the crank arm. The arm pivots about a pivot mounted in the support plate and the other end has a pivot coupled to the lower end of a drive lever. The arm slides in a radial hole in the pivot. The remote end of the drive is coupled by a pivot to an elbow shaped journal of an axle. This pivots about an axis fixed to the support plate to turn a wheel as the steering wheel is rotated.
