<p>The heat recuperator has a hollow vertical fireback (2) connected to horizontal hollow fire bars (3,4,5,6). Bridging struts (9) are incorporated inside the hollow fireback which increase the rate of heat transfer and also provide a chicane for the flow of water. The heat recuperator is cast as a single unit and therefore has no joints other than those of the water inlet (11) and outlet (12). A baffle (13) is provided to direct the incoming water to the base of the recuperator. An additional heat exchanger can be added on the hood of the fireplace to recover further heat.</p> |
