<p>The cutter drive may be incorporated in a machine which dresses, measures and cuts reinforcement bars (F) to length. It comprises a shearing tool (10) on a rocking arm (1) actinq against a counter block (11), its fulcrum (1') being mounted on the substructure of the parent machine. The arm (1) is driven by a jack (V) and through a toggle levers (2,3), its movement being controlled by an independent position detector which monitors the progress of the workpiece bar (F). The jack's piston rod (V') may be pinned to the elbow joint (5) of a cranked pinjointed toggle of which the extremities (3',2') are pinned to the substructure and the arm respectively to straighten the toggle and drive the shearing arm.</p> |
