PURPOSE:To control a gap in response to running condition by providing a movable piece of mnemonic alloy between a casing opposed to an end of a moving vane and a casing liner movable axially. CONSTITUTION:A casing liner 5 is mounted on the surface of a casing 2 opposed to an end of a moving vane 1 of a turbo type fluid machine so as to be movable axially. A movable piece 6 of shape storing alloy is provided between the casing 2 and the casing liner 5. Axially slant angle theta of the inner peripheral surface of the casing liner 5 is equal to slant angle of the end of the moving vane and movalbe axially in response to the deformation of the movable piece 6. Namely, according to the relatioship between the axial displacement DELTAx of the casing liner 5 and change DELTAy in tip gap, DELTAy=DELTAx tan theta, the movable piece is set to deform DELTAx by a certain value corresponding to temperature difference between start and normal running so as to adjust sufficiently the tip gap. |
