<p>The buckle for vehicle safety belts has two half shells enclosing two plates which hold axles (9,10) for the two clamps of the locking device (20,21). The clamps have two projections (22,23) to guide the bolt (120) and pivot at the front on axles (30,31) through holes in the plates. The bolt is ejected automatically by a sliding finger (37) that is moved by a spring (37a). The back of the clamps are circular (20a,21a) and one has a tooth (35) that engages in a corresponding hole (34) in the other so that the inertia of one clamp acts in opposition to that of the other.</p> |
