The element is used esp. in external wall faces of houses, workshops or other buildings. It is prefabricated pref. as a load bearing element, and includes a heat absorbing and exchange surface on the outside. This surface can be coupled as required to adjacent prefabricated elements, and/or incorporated into the heating or water system. The element can serve both as load bearing heat-exchanger and as heat storage unit. Max. use can be made of heat derived from the sun at warm times of day.
