In an annular cooler for the compressed air produced by a compressor, there is arranged in the lower region of the cooler a condensate trap into the chamber of which there projects for the purpose of collecting the condensate an air outlet stub which is at a slight distance from the opposite wall or from a cover. The air outlet stub projecting into the condensate chamber serves as a baffle for the air flow and thus improves the trapping of the condensate. <IMAGE>
