Drinking water for small ops.ofpersons (up to 10) in the field is prepd. from surface water which may be contaminated by poison agents of qroup B and C and with slimes, by a chemical treatment before filtration. The bag for this pre-treatment and B- and C-decontamination is made of flexible material, i.e. transparent robust plastic, compatible with food. The plastic pre-treatment bag is of trapezoidal shape. Slime is collected in its bottom part up to a level and can be discharged through a plug. The clarified and decontaminated drinking water is extracted through a tap. The raw water and the reagents to counteract the Bl and Cl contaminantsare filled in through a filler with a screw cap. A scale divides the bag into volumes to suit one army water bottle. The bag can be suspended from the loop for the sedimentation period. This prevents clogging of the subsequent filter by slimes so that a smaller filter can be used and the entire equipment becomes portable.
