PURPOSE:To prepare the titled composition capable of preventing the dental carries and periodontosis, and useful as an ingredient of tooth paste, troche, etc., by using an organic solvent extract of a crude drug selected from the flower or rhizoma of arnica, fruit of cardamon, ZENKO, CHOSEN-NINJIN (root of Panax ginseng C.A. meyer) and KYOKATSU (rhizoma of Notopterygium incisium Ting), as an active component. CONSTITUTION:One or more crude drugs selected from arnica, cardamon, ZENKO, CHOSEN-JINJIN, and KYOKATSU, are extracted with an organic solvent, e.g. a polar solvent such as lower alcohol (methanol, ethanol, etc.), acetone, ethyl ether, etc., and a non-polar solvent such as benzene, hexane, etc., and the extract is used as a component of the titled composition. The amount of the extract is pref. 0.001- 5%, esp. 0.005-2%, based on the whole composition for oral cavity application. |
