The present electrical indicating device (Figure 1) for measuring instruments contains a voltage/frequency converter (1) converting measurement signals, which are present as voltage values, into frequency values, a counting device (2) acquiring the frequency values supplied by the converter in a counting manner, a digital display unit (3) digitally displaying measurement values corresponding to the count of the counting device, and a switch (SW1) arranged between the converter (1) and the counter (2), which switch is only held in the closed state by a control device (4) during a fixed period (t2) after an electrical charge (t1). The indicating device indicates analog signals, coming from the associated measuring mechanism, in digital form, can be of simple and inexpensive construction and is suitable for miniaturisation. <IMAGE>
