<p>The heat accumulator comprises a heat-insulated vessel with pressure-relief valve and heat-exchanger with external unions, the heating medium and washing water flowing separately. It contains a storage medium with high heat of fusion and a melting point between 50 and 100 deg.C. The heat-exchanger is formed by a grille of parallel vertical metal pipes, spaced at intervals of between 4 and 10cm., joined together by parallel horizontal fins close together and one above the other into a block. The outermost pipes and every second row of the other ones are connected together to form a continuous condenser pipe for the heating medium of a heat pump, while the remaining pipes are connected together into a continuous pipe for washing water, flowing in the opposite direction. The pipe ends are taken out through the vessel to connecting unions.</p> |
