PURPOSE:To simplify the channel selection, by providing the 1st channel selection means, storage means which discriminates the presence of broadcast in the broadcast channel and stores the channel with broadcast, and the 2nd storage means which reads out the channel sellection data to be stored for channel selection. CONSTITUTION:When a main power switch 18 of the receiver main body is turned on, a power supply application and detection signal is applied to a control section 12 from a power supply application and detection circuit 14. A frequency division data for all the broadcast channels is sequentially given to a frequency divider 5a within a prescribed period by the control section 12, and a local oscillator frequency in a channel selection section 13 is changed sequentially in following to the frequency dividing ratio data and it is sequentially received from the lowest broadcast channel. On the other hand, the presence of each channel signal is detected at a signal detection circuit 15, and if present, the frequency dividing ratio data is stored in a storage element 16. When the user operates one of channel selection keys 1-0, the control section 12 converts this key input to the address input of the storage element 16 to read out the frequency dividing ratio data from said address and applies it to the frequency divider 5a, allowing to receive the desired broadcast channel. |
