<p>Steps, each comprising tread slab and one or more bracket arms, and with banister bars on their ends, are arranged in a series on a central shaft, to make up a staircase. One bracket arm (3), at least, is held by a clip, or more than one, mounted on the shaft (1). The clip can consist of two spaced open rings, interconnected by fishplates at their ends; or of two shells (9,10), of cylindrical sectioned shape, with fishplates (11) on their longitudinal edges. One or more bracket arms may be clamped between a pair of interfacing fishplates.</p> |
