PURPOSE:To improve the defect detecting accuracy of a magnetic disk, by constituting a device so taht a drop of an output in the inside circumferential side of the magnetic disk is prevented, and the gain of a reproducing amplifier is controlled automatically. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted so that a position of a defect of each track, etc. are detected by a defect processing-recording and reproducing controlling circuit 4, a track position pulse generated by a track position controlling circuit 11 is counted by a track counter 10, a gain controlling circuit 8 is controlled by an output pulse of a gain setting circuit 9 which generates a pulse for setting the gain of a reproducing amplifier by a track position shown by said counter 10, and magnitude of the amplitude of a reproducing signal in the outisde and inside circumferences is not varied. According to such a constitution, the generation accuracy of a defect inspecting and comparing level is elevated extending over all the track positions, and the defect detecting accuracy of a magnetic disk is improved. |
