发明名称 Electromotive drive.
摘要 An electromotive drive, primarily for use in vehicles which use storage batteries, is described, which has a control and regulation device for re-charging the batteries when the acceleration of the drive is reduced as well as, for example, when the vehicle is being slowed down by braking or is being driven down an incline. The drive encloses radially controlled, movable pistons (6) or heavy weights in a rotating flywheel which are mostly borne in cylinders (5) which are surrounded by coil devices (8) which receive rhythmic current pulses via the control device. On rotation of the rotating flywheel, the pistons (6) or free-piston type, heavy, radially pulsating weights, are pressed centripetally towards the drive axis by compression springs (7) acting against the centrifugal force on the pistons, such that, on reaching the operating speed or the speed of rotation corresponding thereto, the said centripetal forces in each piston position maintain a static-dynamic radial balance with the centrifugal forces of the rotating piston weights, which the control force can easily influence by means of the said coil windings (8). In other respects, the unit represents an electrical D.C. machine which is operated in the pulse mode and the multi-quadrant mode, generally by means of a D.C. pulse transformer. During the rotation of the armature (2) at a practically constant speed, - even in the case of acceleration, since only the piston frequency need be increased then-, rapid displacement will occur in the partial period of the piston radial pulsation in which the piston controls externally, battery current being fed both to the abovementioned coil windings (8) about the piston cylinder as well as to the other D.C. windings of the armature (2) and of the pole (3). In addition, current energy is stored as a quasi-potential reserve in overcoming the, in this case time-variable, increasing moment of inertia or flywheel moment GD<2> of the flywheel. In the opposite phase, or time period of the piston pulsation with its centripetal movement, the battery current is switched off, the only effective drive then being, on the other hand, the inertial-mechanical rotation-maintaining torque of the rheonomously reducing rotor speed acceleration energy. <IMAGE>
